The Choir and Music in church

We are very fortunate to have Bill Wright as our Director of Music at Ss Peter & Paul.

Bill has been in post at the church since 2001, and under his direction the Choir has gently grown. Although it is still relatively small, the standard of music making in the church is high, and the lead the Choir gives on a Sunday morning is much appreciated.

The Choir is open to both adults and children, and the sense of team work and fellowship it offers (particularly, perhaps, to the younger members) is enormous. The Choir rehearses on a Wednesday evening, and sings at every 1030 service on Sunday mornings, as well as at other feast days and special events. It also sings at many of the weddings which happen in the church, for which choristers receive a small extra financial reward! Once a month, the Choir is enhanced by friends from outside the parish to sing a Choral Evensong of Cathedral standard.
