Easter joy... and Easter snow!
Easter was, as ever, an occasion for joy and wonder! The resurrection was celebrated with full vigour at the Easter Vigil, starting with the kindling of a new fire, and the lighting of the Easter Candle - which, with the very strong winds that were blowing, took some doing!
During the service, Bishop John Flack baptized two adults, who were then confirmed alongside nine other candidates, who can be seen here celebrating the joy of initiation and resurrection in the Parish Hall after the service.
When the morning dawned, in common with much of the rest of the country, the resulting scene looked more like Christmas morning than Easter morning....
.....but it was great fun!
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
