Sir Arthur Blomfield left a church entirely fitted out and complete. Subsequent change has therefore been comparatively limited, although there have been more C20th alterations to the interior than first meets the eye. These focus particular on two areas: the Lady Chapel and the west tower.

The changes to the Lady Chapel were carried out in two phases. The first appears to be for the screens which are shown on otherwise anonymous drawings dated 1916 (left). A second more significant reordering followed in 1958 as part of a general redecoration of the church by its architect Mr. W.F Knight. His work appears strongly in the manner of Sir Ninian Comper, He was also responsible for the surprisingly old fashioned looking memorial gates to the west garden, which might at first glance be 1906, but are in fact of 1960.

During quite a large campaign of works during the 1990s, proposals for the enlargement or a replication of its form to provide a new choir vestry at the south door (right). These proposals were not executed. |

At the west end of the church, the present lobby screens were added by Brian Austin, in 1997 (above). A millennium stone was added to the west tower floor by the old established Kettering firm of Gotch Pearson in 1999. Since then only general repairs and minor works have been carried out by the present church architect John Barker.
