Baptisms Galore
A very special celebration happened on Sunday July 8th, when twelve children in the parish family were baptized at St Michael's.
Drawn from both churches in the parish, children aged between four and ten came to the font to be baptized by one of the parish clergy. After having water poured on their heads, they were then anointed or 'sealed' with the Holy Oil of Chrism.
At the end of the service, all twelve newly-baptized members of Christ's church followed the clergy out of the church in procession, singing Shine, Jesus, Shine as they went out to be lights in the world themselves.
